Wedding Planners

Wedding planning is not for the faint of heart, so many brides say. Wedding planning involves not only outlining the things to do and things to buy, it also involves money matters. Saving for the entailing expenses and putting the saved money on their proper places is something the planner of the wedding must do.

Wedding Planner

This is the hardest part. When costing and budgeting come into picture, many things go out of hand and couples most of the times go way over their budget.

When should you hire a wedding planner?

This scenario is most true to couples who will marry for the first time, who are both uninitiated of the blunders and expenses of a wedding, and to those who do not have an immediate family that they can turn to for help and advice.

So, does it mean that every couple who are unknowledgeable about everything that has got to do with planning and budgeting must hire a wedding planner to do things for them?

The answer to this, according to experts, is yes and no.

Yes, if you think you (1) do not have the patience to study the do's and don'ts in a ceremony and reception and other necessary etiquette that accompanies a western style of wedding, such as, when should you throw the bouquet? (2) cannot stand to talk with overzealous vendors who will bombard you with sales calls every hour of the day just to say yes into hiring them or buying their products, (3) if you do not know how balance sheet basically works, and (4) you do not have the patience to wait for long lines in City Hall or the Civil Registry office to process your marriage license and other pertinent personal documents.

If you answer at least two "yes" to the aforementioned, then you badly need the services of a wedding planner.

However, if you are the type of person who is (1) willing to go through learning the ins and outs of buying materials and hiring wedding related services, (2) can create a wedding program from scratch, and (3) knows how budgeting works, then by all means, do the planning and ask for help from family members and your entourage to do the other errands in your stead.

Advantages of having a wedding planner

If you have a wedding planner, you can rest assured that every tiny details to make your event a success are taken cared of by the planner. Also, planners have contacts with some of the most reputable wedding vendors in the market who can give you discounts for quality products and superb services.

Having a wedding planner also affords you and your groom a chance to enhance the wedding program that a wedding planner has devised for you. This doesn't happen when you do it yourself as you cannot focus on a single category (like should you begin with listing the materials to buy for your wedding dress or focus on finding a caterer for the reception?).

When hiring a wedding planner, everything is laid out on you and all you've got to do is say yes and no and add this, add that, and that's perfect. How does this sound?
