Wedding Jewelry
A bride's wedding jewelry is the official last touch
to finishing her bridal look, adding sparkle and glamour. Most brides
wear their wedding jewelry the day of the wedding only and then
store it away, only to be taken out for the sake of remembering
the blessed day.
Outside of the obvious wedding ring, the bride can wear flattering
accessories such as a necklace, earrings, bracelet, or tiara.
Before choosing her wedding jewelry, the bride needs to ponder
the style of her event (black tie, casual, etc), the theme
and colors, and the season in which she's getting married (Winter
brings about images of "white" and "crystal").
When choosing a necklace, a bride needs to consider the neckline
of her wedding dress. Almost
any necklace will capture people's attention in a strapless dress,
so even something thin holding a small jewel will be big enough.
Earrings add a glow to the bride's face and stand out the most when
the bride's hair is worn up. The tiara, while not popular, automatically
turns the bride into a princess with its elegant crowning.
A good idea when choosing her wedding jewelry is for the bride
to buy it in a complete set. When shopping for individual items,
she may come across a necklace and bracelet she likes, but is unable
to find earrings she desires. This type of problem is erased when
going with one complete set from the same merchant.
Further, a complete set is uniform and goes together perfectly,
whereas you can try your best to match individual items and still
see some clear discrepancies. Finally, a complete set is economically
wise, because shipping cost will only be charged once, as opposed
to multiple times (once for each item).
If the bride chooses pearl jewelry for her wedding, she'll be
wearing something synonymous with sophistication, purity, and romance.
A classic bridal look is a woman in a white, flowing gown with her
neck draped full of dazzling white pearls. Pearls as a whole are
an extremely versatile selection, because they come in all sorts
of colors, shapes, and overtones, complementing just about every
wedding theme possible.
Her pearls should represent not only the theme of the wedding,
but her individuality. Since being a bride in a wedding is the equivalent
of starring in a movie, the bride shouldn't hold back when it comes
to how pretty and big the pearls are, either. She should let them
shine.
It needs to be remembered that the bride isn't the only one who
will be wearing wedding jewelry. The bridesmaids, whose job it is
to represent the bride, should wear similar jewelry of the same
size, material, and style that is more modest and doesn't overshadow
the bride's jewels. Bridesmaid jewelry doesn't have to be anywhere
near as expensive as the bride's, and it can even be given as wedding
party gifts to each lady.
But, since the event is all about the bride, she should be adorned
with the most glamourous wedding jewelry in the party and at the
entire wedding. It is her day to shine and wedding jewelry will
help her shine just a little bit brighter.
