Wedding Hairstyles

Wedding hairstyles can cause much angst for a bride-to-be. Up or down or half up? Curly or straight? Ultra sleek or a flowing mane? These are among the many questions that a bride will ask herself. If you are getting married soon, you need not, however, answer these wedding hairstyle questions one by one.

Don't let the angst over the wedding hairstyle keep you up at nights. You need to rest and free your mind from worries of what the crowning glory will look like on your wedding day.

For ideas, to inspire you and get you and the hairstylist started, consider the following wedding hairstyles:

Wedding Hairstyles

Elegant Wedding Hairstyle. Is the event set to impress even the Queen of England? You will never go wrong with a French twist. This simple, yet elegant looking hairstyle allows you to show off your long and smooth neck, with your pretty ears more exposed than usual. Since there is room for accessories, you can play around with earrings and necklace with this type of hairstyle.

A French twist can be made modern by allowing a curly lock to bounce off the two sides of the temple. If your hair is naturally straight, the hairstylist can curl it using a curling iron. A bun (Breakfast in Tiffany's bun) is an alternative to French twist.

Fairytale Wedding Hairstyle. There are some ladies who want to relive their childhood bedtime stories by hosting a fairytale-inspired wedding, complete with fairy costumes for bridesmaids and Tinkerbelle-like dresses for the flower girls. A flowing, curly hair is the perfect hairstyle for a fairytale themed wedding, and fresh flowers as a crown.

You can ask the hairstylist for a half up during the ceremony, using flowers on the tied part. Then at the reception, you can don a flowing hairstyle, no ties or up dos. Another alternative for half up is a side twist. That is, the hair in front is parted into two, and the hair is twisted from top to temple down to the nape. After which, the two parted are tied together at the back and the rest of the hair flowing freely.

Sweet Looking Wedding Hairstyle. If you are a simple, sweet girl who lives in a small town and would like the hairstyle to complement your personality, why not let that naturally straight hair to flow freely in the air?

All you have to do to achieve this sweet looking wedding hairstyle is to dollop hair cream for sleek, straight hair, blow your hair dry, and straighten it more with a flat, straightening iron. An option for this is to braid your hair on the sides with the straight hair flowing freely at the back. If you have curly hair, just ask the hairstylist for a simple braid and you are all set.

Of course, these wedding hairstyles are only guidelines. The main point is that your hair should go along with the wedding theme. This knowledge will save you a lot of time and worries. It will also allow you to focus more on other pressing matters such as, what matching set of lingerie you should buy for your honeymoon.
