Wedding Themes
Wedding themes differ from one event to the next.
But, the most important thing that wedding planners will tell in
organizing an event is to make sure the wedding has a theme.
Wedding themes insure that the event has a unified and coordinated
color scheme, style, design and patterns that work well together.
It almost doesn't even matter what the wedding theme is as long
as all the elements work together in order to pull of what the couple
wishes to accomplish.
Wedding themes may be simple or quite complex depending upon the
size of the event and the budget. Some examples of popular wedding
themes are beach, Winter, Fall, Valentine's Day, Medieval, Christmas,
western, Las Vegas and Hollywood to name just a few.
The Black and White Wedding Theme
An example of an elegant type of themed wedding is the black and
white event. The theme, which dates back to the medieval era, is
elegant in its form. The exquisite affair entails the guests wearing
some form of black and white wardrobe.
With most common wedding themes, it is usually only the bride who
wears white. The black and white type of affair, however, contradicts
this etiquette. A black and white wedding theme is wonderful for
a country club setting or major estate where the theme can really
be brought to life.
The Mardi Gras Wedding Theme
As opposed to the formality of the Black and White wedding theme,
the Mardi Gras theme is festive and colorful. The couple, and their
bridesmaids as well as the guests are wearing beads, masks and colorful
clothing.
The food, which is served during the reception, can be equally
festive in nature and full of flair. This is the perfect wedding
theme for individuals who want their special day to be fun and festive.
But, there are others.
The Hawaiian Wedding Theme
Hawaiian wedding themes may be held in that state or most often
are held in a backyard of someone's home. The Hawaiian wedding theme
is also conducive to beach ceremonies as well. Many times all of
the guests are required to follow a dress code that includes Hawaiian
clothing complete with garlands and even flowers in the hair.
The couple also wears casual floral printed attire to celebrate
the occasion. While exchanging vows barefoot, or sometimes wearing
sandals, the couple will state their commitment to each other on
the white sands of a beach.
The food served after a Hawaiian themed wedding can be similar
to that offered at a true luau. This type of wedding theme provides
an overall festive atmosphere for the couple and their guests as
well.
Theme weddings are popular as they provide a fun atmosphere to
the special day and allow the couple and guests to have a memorable
time while rejoicing in the marital union. Those who choose to have
this type of wedding theme can utilize it for the ceremony, reception
or both.
There are so many options to individuals when it comes to choosing
that perfect theme for their wedding. The couple in their own unique
way can also invent or make some changes on the existing themes
to make their events truly unique.
